Psychic vs. Intuitive
Intuition vs. PsychicYou may notice the seemingly interchangable use of "intuition" and "psychic".
"Psychic" is "of the soul" as expressed through the body, i.e., through the five physical senses.
We have, therefore, clairalience [clear smelling] - we smell a source not physically present,
such as smelling roses outdoors with snow on the ground.clairaudience [clear hearing] - we hear sounds not in the dimension we are in,
such as hearing our name called when we are physically alone.clairgustance [clear tasting] - we taste an object not physically present,
such as a favorite food.
clairsentience [clear feeling] - such as feeling a hug sent by a loved one, near or far.
Feeling the presence of spirits or the energetic imprints left are examples.
clairtangency [clear touch - basis of psychometry?]. "Feeling" here is another side of "touch". We are detecting [picking up] the energy [variations]. Used in scanning.clairvoyance [clear seeing] - we see in our mind's eye. [Third eye]
Some add two more.
One is clairempathy - clear emotional feeling - not through the five senses, sensing what others are feeling. It may be unconscious telepathy or may be heart to heart. The other is clairgognizance - clear knowing - do you just "know"?
- This is intuition.
Intuition is simply a knowing without the involvement of the physical senses, the emotions, or the intellect.
